These terms apply to all stitching, printing, embroidery, piko and lace, alteration, material purchase, jewellery, outfit rental and training services provided by Nirmal Boutique at Tibbi Sahib Road, Bagla Market, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab 152026. Placing an order or enrolling for training means you accept them. For anything unclear, call +91 98555 86300 before you commit rather than after.
1. Orders and Quotations
Every order is quoted before work begins. The quotation covers stitching labour and any design work agreed at that point. Material taken from our stock is itemised separately, so you can see what is labour and what is material.
The quoted price is the price payable at delivery. If you ask for a change once work has started, and that change adds labour or material, we tell you the revised cost at that moment rather than presenting it at collection. Indicative ranges are on the pricing page.
2. Advance Payment
Booking an appointment requires no payment. For standard orders payment is normally taken on delivery.
For bridal, heavy function wear, bulk orders and any order requiring material purchase on your behalf, an advance is taken once the design is settled. The advance is adjusted against the final bill. Where fabric or material has already been cut or bought against your order, the advance is not refundable, because that material cannot be returned to stock.
3. Measurements and Fit
Measurements are taken in person before cutting. Measurements sent by message or brought from elsewhere are treated as a guide only, and we will confirm them at the shop. See the size guide for how each measurement is taken.
Fit corrections on garments we have stitched are included in the price, not charged extra. Please raise any fit issue at collection or at the trial fitting rather than after the garment has been worn or washed, since alterations become harder once a garment has been used.
4. Trial Fittings and Delivery
Standard orders normally include one trial fitting. Bridal and heavy function orders include two to three, scheduled at set dates as explained on the bridal and party wear page.
Delivery dates are agreed at booking and we plan backwards from your function date. If you miss a scheduled trial, the delivery date may move, because the remaining time has to absorb both the trial and the corrections.
Turnaround times quoted on this website are typical rather than guaranteed. During peak wedding season lead times extend, which is why we ask you to book earlier rather than pay for urgency.
5. Customer Supplied Fabric
You are welcome to bring your own fabric, lining and trims. We check the material before cutting and will tell you if it is unsuitable for the design you want.
Where we have advised against a fabric and you ask us to proceed anyway, we are not responsible for the resulting fall, shrinkage, colour bleeding or finish. We are responsible for cutting and stitching faults caused by our own work, and will correct them.
Fabric quantity is your responsibility unless bought from us. If the length supplied is insufficient for the design once laid out, we will stop and discuss options rather than cutting short.
6. Alteration Work
Alterations are assessed before quoting. Whether a garment can be let out depends on the seam allowance left inside it, which we check by opening the seam. If there is not enough fabric to achieve what you want, we say so before proceeding.
On garments not stitched by us, we work with the construction as we find it. Existing faults in the original stitching, worn fabric or weakened seams are pointed out before work starts. Details are on the alteration page.
7. Uncollected Orders
Please collect finished orders within thirty days of the agreed delivery date. Shop storage is limited and finished garments occupy space needed for live orders.
For orders uncollected beyond ninety days we will attempt to contact you on the number provided. Please keep your contact number current, and tell us if it changes while an order is in progress.
8. Outfit Rental
Rental terms are explained and agreed before the outfit leaves the shop. In summary:
- A refundable security deposit is taken in addition to the rental charge
- The rental period is fixed at booking. Late returns are charged for the additional days
- Normal cleaning after use is arranged by us and covered as agreed at booking
- Stains, tears, burns, missing embellishments and damage beyond normal wear are chargeable against the deposit
- Where damage exceeds the deposit, the balance of the repair or replacement cost is payable
- Alterations to a rental outfit are limited to what can be reversed. Permanent alterations are not permitted
Full details are on the outfit rental page. Ask about anything you are unsure of before taking the outfit, not after the function.
9. Material and Jewellery Purchases
Tailoring material, munyari items and artificial jewellery are sold over the counter. Please check items at the time of purchase. Cut lengths of lace, elastic, lining and similar material cannot be returned once cut, since they cannot be resold.
Artificial jewellery is fashion jewellery and is not sold as precious metal or stone. Plating and finish will wear with use, perfume and moisture. Care advice is given on the jewellery page.
10. Training Fees
Training fees are explained in full at enrolment, including what is covered and what is charged separately. Practice material is charged at student rates on top of the course fee.
Fees are payable as agreed at enrolment. Where a student discontinues, fees for sessions already delivered are not refundable. Seats are limited and a discontinued seat cannot always be refilled mid batch.
Attendance for ITI practical training is recorded as it actually occurs. We will not certify hours that were not attended. Missed sessions must be made up before completion documentation is issued.
11. Cancellation
Appointments can be cancelled or changed at any time by calling us, at no charge.
For orders, cancellation before cutting means any advance is refunded less the cost of material already purchased on your behalf. Once fabric has been cut to your measurements it cannot be reused, so cancellation after cutting is not possible and the order remains payable.
12. Photographs of Work
We sometimes photograph finished garments for our work gallery, reels and social media. These photographs show the garment, not the customer, unless you have specifically agreed otherwise. If you would prefer your order not to be photographed at all, tell us at booking and we will note it against your order.
13. Liability
Our responsibility is limited to the work we perform. We will correct or, where correction is not possible, refund the labour charge for work that is defective due to our error.
We are not responsible for fabric defects, colour bleeding, shrinkage or wear in material we did not supply, nor for damage caused by washing, dry cleaning or use contrary to the care advice given.
14. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
